Afghan man whose details were accidentally traced by the UK Main Data ViolationHe was detained in Pakistan for the inevitable deportation along with several family members, his son BBC said.
The BBC saw documents that are supposed to confirm that a person was part of the Afghan special forces units who worked with the British forces in Afghanistan, known as “three”.
The threat of deportation arises when Pakistan continues to seek to remove what they say in their countries “illegal foreign citizens”.
But the son of Afghanistan, a man, said that their case was particularly relevant, as if they were deported to Afghanistan, he is afraid that they would be killed from the three -bedroom association.
The Taliban government claims that all Afghans can “live in the country without fear.” But the UN report called “No Safe Haven”, which was released last month, raised doubts about the amnesty.
The man and his family initially appealed to the Afghan relocation and assistance policy in the UK (ARAP), which was created for the relocation and defense of Afghanists who worked with the British forces or the UK government in Afghanistan – shortly after the Taliban returned to power in August 2021.
The family was in Pakistan, waiting for a final decision on the application – which was approved by the Ministry of Defense last year – when Pakistan’s authorities came to pick them up.
A man’s son, Ryan, whose name we change to his safety, told the BBC that he escaped when he was assembled after hiding in the bathroom in the capital of Islamabad with his wife and the son of the child when several members of his family were taken to the camp.
“Some of my family are only children, the younger only eight months, we continued to ask the police to leave them.”
Later, his brother called the camp to say that officials reported to them that they would be deported, Ryan added.
“My brother told me that they were kept in the room with about 90 other people, and then they were nominated by name and separated,” Ryan said. “I’m so afraid that they are suddenly deported.”
Ryan explained that the family was in a suspended state in Pakistan since October 2024, when the family had been recorded by biometry.
But they are still waiting.
“We just waited without explanation. They continued to tell us, and now it is too late,” Ryan said.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Defense said he did not comment on some cases. “We still remain fully supporters of our obligations to all entitles that are passing the relevant relocation checks,” the statement reads.
The situation is more disturbing by the fact that the details of the family were among almost 19,000 Afghans who applied for resettlement in the UK, which in February 2022 were unintentional. The families involved in the leak made them vulnerable.
Currently, Ryan will be terribly returned to detain him, his wife and their child, and stated that he asks the British High Commission to move to another hotel to defend.
Calvin Bailey, a labor deputy who worked with the Afghan Trokes as a RAF commander, said the BBC that the situation is “incredibly upset.” He said that Ryan’s father and the three were “people we needed to help and we have a duty, and we must make sure they will receive more than minimal protection.”
Bailey continued to add that he hoped the government and the British Supreme Commission were engaged behind the scenes, although this work is not always public.
Pakistan has a long record for receiving the Afghan refugees. But the government had previously stated that it was disappointed with a long time it took to move Afghans to other countries.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Talal Chadra said the BBC, “he must ask the UK authorities why they delay these relocations.”
“It’s been years,” he said. “Do you really think they will give any indulgence to Pakistani citizens who convince the UK?”
Since September 2023, Pakistan has launched their “repatriation plan” with 1159 812 persons returned to AfghanistanAccording to the United Nations migration agency.
The government supports its policy aimed at all illegal foreign citizens.
About three million Afghans live in Pakistan, according to the UN refugee agency – including about 600,000 people who came after the Taliban absorption in 2021. According to estimates, half are undocumented.
The United Nations Refugees Agency (UNHCR) called on Pakistan “to ensure that any return of Afghanistan in Afghanistan is voluntary, safe and worthy.”
Against the background of police raids and deportations this summer, UNHCR called on the government “to apply measures to release Afghans for long international needs to defend against involuntary return.”
