The Alternative Party Für Deutschland (AFD) of Germany was appointed by the Federal Office of the Right Extremist for the Protection of the Constitution.
“The concept of people based on ethnicity and ancestry prevails within the party, is not compatible with the free democratic order,” the internal intelligence agency said.
AFR finished second in the federal election in February, winning a record 152 places in the parliament of 630 seats out of 20.8%.
Next week, the parliament, or the Bundestag, will vote to confirm the Conservative leader Friedrich Merz as a chancellor, heading the coalition with the left-wing Social Democrats.
The far -right AFD has already been located under the observation of the suspicion of extremism in Germany, and the intelligence agency also classified it as a right extremist in the three states in the east, where its popularity is the highest.
The agency, or Verfassungschutz, specifically stated that the AFD did not consider citizens “migration from predominantly Muslim countries” as equal members of the German people.
Internal Affairs Minister Nancy Ferr said the agency had decided after a comprehensive review with “lack of political influence”.
It is believed that the change of destination AFD allows internal special services to reduce the threshold for use of informants and monitoring party monitoring.
