The man escaped the French prison, hiding in the prisoner’s bag leaving the prison after serving his sentence, local media officials said.
According to BFMTV, the prison service launched an investigation after the man escaped from the Lyon Carbas prison in the southeast of France.
He “took advantage of the release of his prisoner to hide in his luggage and come out,” the prison service said at AFP.
