ACCESS defer the important tournament for shocking reasons; Mohsin Naqvi makes announcement

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially postponed Monday (June 2) to the emerging teams of women ACC Asia Cup 2025, which was scheduled to begin on June 6 in Sri Lanka. The ACC has made the decision after Sri Lanket Cricket (SLC), Shammi Silva, requested the President of ACC Mohsin Naqvi to postpone the tournament due to an inevitable situation.

In the letter, Shammi Silva mentioned two important concerns and are the continuous bad weather in Sri Lanka and the health risks due to the spread of Chikungunya’s disease in the region. Taking these worries seriously, they decided to delay the tournament to ensure the safety of the players and the staff.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has confirmed that the new dates for the emerging teams of women ACC Asia 2025 will be announced soon. The ACC also thanked all the participating teams, players, partners and parties for their patience and understanding in this situation.

Mohsin Naqvi said in an official press release: “The ACC is committed to providing opportunities for young Crictermers to develop their skills and competing at the highest level.
