Abhishek Nayar officially appointed Warriorz’s lead coach after BCCI sacking

UP Warriorz has named the former coach of India and former assistant coach Abhishek Nayar as the new main coach before the next edition of the women’s Premier League (WPL). Abhishek Nayar replaced Jon Lewis as main coach of Warriorz ahead of the WPL 2026.

Jon Lewis served as the main coach of Warriorz for three seasons at the women’s premier. Well, Nayar brings great experience to the role, after working in different capacities both at the highest level and at the Indian Premier League (IPL).
