Finding a purpose in life is not always easy, and sometimes you need a reminder to live your life to the full as in Joe against the volcano. Realizing that being on the verge of death is the first time he has ever felt alive, Joe persevered against the elements to do what he intended to do, which forces him to make the hardest decision in his life when he finally approaches his destination.
Equal parts are surreal and sentimental
