A new group supported by the United States says she has begun to spread the help in gas

The controversial new distribution group supported by the United States and Israel began working in Gaza.

The Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) said the freight load on the food was delivered to ensure the sites and that it began to spread to people. This is not said where and how much assistance was transferred.

The group that uses armed US security contractors seeks to bypass the UN as the main assistance provider of 2.1 million Palestinians in Gaza, where experts warn about the upcoming famine after the Israeli blockade, which lasted 11 weeks.

The UN and many assistance groups refused to cooperate with GHF plans, which, according to them, are contrary to the humanitarian principles and seem to be “weapons”.

Israel says a new system is needed to stop help with Hamas’s theft that the group denies.

In a statement sent by the journalist on Monday night, GHF announced that “started operating in the newspaper” and delivered “freight loads to its safe places where the gasan began to spread to people.”

“More trucks will be delivered (on Tuesday), and the stream of assistance is increasing every day,” it added.

Photos for the materials showed just over a dozen men who took out boxes from an uncertain place.

The BBC asked in GHF how many aid goods entered and how many people were able to pick up help, but he has not yet received the answer.

A statement by GHF also said that John Akre, a former senior manager at the USAID, a state -owned foreign aid agency, was appointed by the Provisional Executive Director.

Akre was replaced by Jake Wood, who left the post on Sunday. Wood said the group distribution system cannot work in such a way that he will be able to fulfill the principles of “humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence”.

The GHF Council rejected criticism, accusing “those who take advantage of the status” that it is more focused on “breaking it separately than to receive assistance.”

It states that the system fully complies with the humanitarian principles and will hold a million Palestinians by the end of the week.

According to the GHF mechanism, the Palestinians, which cover security, will collect boxes containing food and basic hygiene items for their families with a small number of distribution locations that are mostly in the Southern Gaza. Sites will be provided with US contractors, and Israeli troops patrol the perimeters.

The UN and other assistance agencies have insisted that they would not cooperate with any scheme that does not respect the basic humanitarian principles.

They warned that the GHF system virtually excluded those who have problems with mobility, including injuries, disabilities and the elderly, force further resettlement, exposes thousands of people to the detriment, brings help depending on political and military purposes and establishes an unacceptable precedent for delivery worldwide.

They stated that they were waiting for thousands of trucks to go into gas, and a detailed plan to help get people in need and robbery is minimized.

Hamas warned the Palestinians not to cooperate with the GHF system, saying that “replacing the order of chaos, to fulfill the policy of engineering hunger of Palestinian civilians and to use food as weapons in wartime.”

The GHF statement condemned that it was stated “threats to Hamas’s death aimed at assistance groups that support humanitarian operations on the GHF safe distribution, and efforts to block people with access to the sites.”

On March 2, Israel introduced a general blockade on humanitarian aid and two weeks resumed a military offensive, completing a two -month ceasefire with Hamas.

It states that the steps had to be put pressure on the armed group to release 58 hostages who remain in the gas, up to 23 of which are believed to be alive.

On May 19, the Israeli military launched an extended offensive said by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeing that the troops “take control of all districts”. This plan is reportedly included in the complete clearing of the northern civilian population and forcibly displacing them to the south.

Netanyahu also said that Israel would allow the “major” amount of gas to prevent hunger after pressure from the Allies in the US.

Since then, the Israeli authorities have said they have allowed at least 665 humanitarian aid, including flour, baby food and medical materials.

However, the head of the UN World Food Program warned on Sunday that the assistance was only a “bucket” of what was needed on the territory to change the catastrophic hunger level, against a significant lack of basic food and price growth.

In the coming months, half a million people face fasting, according to the integrated classification of the food security (IPC).

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s cross -border attack, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.

At least 53,977 people have been killed in Gaza since 3822 since Israel has restored its offensive 10 weeks ago, the Ministry of Health reports.
