Dejoy noted that “the events of the last few days” have received “a level of media coverage that there are not many companies – let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI the world – never encountered them.”
“The magnifying glass has been unusual and surreal to our team and, although I would never have wanted it to happen in this way, an astronomer is now a home name,” he wrote. “As an astronomer we have never departed from challenges; almost a decade of building this business has repeatedly experienced us, and every time we have emerged stronger. From the start of a software company in Cincinnati, Ohio, to keep the lights on through the collapse of the bank that held all our money in line with each one of the ages of 30 to 3 00 here.”

Dejoy shared that an astronomer is still thriving because the company was “built by people living to solve hard problems, staying late to repair what has broken and cared for deeply for doing things in the right way.” He noted that the customers trusted as an astronomer with their “most ambitious AI data projects” and that the company succeeds because “the mission is more than any second.”
“I step into this role with an encouraging commitment to care for our people and fulfill for our customers.
