Mr. Helberg was only warned of his panic neighbor who watched the ship when he headed straight ashore, to Baynet near trondheim.
“The door rang at a time when I don’t like to open,” Mr. Helberg said TV2.
“I went to the window and was very surprised to see the big ship,” he added, In an interview with The Guardian.
“I had to bend my neck to see it above. It was so unrealistic.”
“Five meters further south, and he would go into the bedroom,” he added to the Norwegian broadcast corporation. “I haven’t heard anything.”
Jestein’s neighbor Jogensen said he had woke up the sound of the ship as he headed for the full speed and ran to Mr. Helberg’s house.
“I was sure he was already on the street, but no, there was no signs of life. I called the door and nothing many times,” Mr. Jorgensen said.
“And only when I called him on the phone, I managed to contact him,” he said TV2.
There were 16 people on board on Cyprus cargo ship, NCL Salten and rode southwest via Fiord trondheim to Orkanger when he left the course.
No one was injured in the incident.
It is unknown what caused an accident, and the Norwegian police are said to be investigating.
