High potential Fans have to tuned into season 2 to find out more about who Steve HoweY is playing – but the cast dropped some teasing for his mysterious character.
During Weekly USA specific visit For Fox Studios in Los Angeles, the cast suggested how Nick Wagner Howey fits into the equation on major crimes.
“We have a new person in the town messing with the lives of these people at the center. A new sheriff is in the town,” teased Judy Reyes, who plays Selena. “I think that creates all kinds of friction and competition and complexity in relation to relationships – especially where Selena Soto is involved because she is used to being at the helm.”
Reyes noted that Wagner’s submission greatly influences Selena arc.
“The character of Steve Howey is actually turned on by this group of people, and he wants to be part of it so badly,” he shared. “He continues to spray himself into the environment, and creates a little drama.”
High potentialwho first performed in September 2024, following a high potential intellectual called Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) Who joins the LAPD to help solve murders. She is paired with Karadec (Daniel Sunjarta), which is initially skeptical about how Morgan can assist the large crime unit but ultimately start to rely on it.

While Howey also spoke Usviewer will have to wait slightly longer for his insight. The actor joins a season 2 of High potential as “a keen political animal that knows how to wear an expensive suit and flows effortlessly charm.”
According to the official character description, Howey’s character, Nick, is “a guy who can launch a million fundraisers with his smile” and “he has an annoyor’s toughness and likes to think outside the box” like Morgan. “He has a way of putting himself right in the middle of the action … whether he wants there or not,” the description continues.
Us managed to get a few fun highlights about Howey’s addition to the cast with Deniz Mediterranean.
Akdeniz was excited for some fresh faces in season 2.
“Because of the wrenches their characters put them in the story lines and dynamically here that family we set up at the center in the first season, there are more conflicts and more things to play with,” he continued. “We’ve been doing this for a whole season and they come in and we’re very lucky to be so lovely.”
High potential Returns to ABC on Tuesday, September 16, at 10 pm ET before streaming the next day on Hulu.
