A federal judge is clearing the way for the release of the special counsel’s report on Trump’s election case

A federal judge on Monday cleared the way for the release of a special counsel’s report on President-elect Trump’s election meddling.

In her ruling Monday, Judge Eileen Cannon approved the release of the first of two volumes of special prosecutor Jack Smith’s investigation. Cannon will consider releasing the second volume, which deals with Trump’s handling of classified documents, on Friday.
