South Africa national cricket team has faced a big blow in the middle of the ongoing second test against Pakistan national cricket team. Opening mixer Ryan Rickelton has suffered a hamstring injury and will no longer take the field during the game.
South Africa national cricket team batsman Rickelton suffered a hamstring injury during day 3 of the ongoing second test against Pakistan national cricket team. The last game of the two games series between the teams takes place at Newlands in Cape Town.
Rickelton will not take the field in the current game, but if necessary, he will come out to bat. The opening batsman played an important role for the South African national cricket team in the first innings and was the main performer.

Opening the innings for the South African national cricket team, Rickelton made sure to seize the opportunity and went on to play his best Test innings for the team. It was one of the main reasons why the Pakistan national cricket team looked clueless with the ball.
Rickelton came through with a mammoth effort with the bat as he made sure to play his best Test innings. The opening batsman looked in a class apart with the bat and hardly put a foot wrong in his innings. He was spot on with his timing, and Pakistan’s bowlers seemed clueless about him.
Rickelton first made sure he hit a big ton, but after that, what was impressive was that he didn’t lose focus at all. The batsman made sure to double his effort and went on to hit a magnificent double century in the first innings.
Ryan Rickelton became the first South African batsman to score a Test double ton in nine years. However, even after that, he did not stop as he continued to score runs. He was all set for the triple century but unfortunately fell against the course of the innings.
Ryan Rickelton finished with an innings of 259 runs off 343 balls. He also hit 29 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Based on his sensational effort with the bat along with tons of Kyle Verreynne and South African national cricket team skipper Temba Bavuma posted a massive total of 615 runs on the board.
South Africa national cricket team bundled Pakistan national cricket team for 194 runs in first innings. They were handed the follow-on and produced a better performance with the bat in the second innings, with skipper Shan Masood hitting a century.
