Jordan Chiles keep her Dancing with the stars Hitting a secret, but she had to share the news with one Olympic fellow.
“I was like, if they told me, it’s a secret. I can’t tell anyone. I don’t tell anyone,” told Chiles, 24, just Weekly US Wednesday, September 3, after the Season Complete 34 Casts Published. “I told Laurie (Hernandez) A few weeks ago, because I (had) seen her personally. I was like, ‘Oh, she’s going to love this, because she’s a wonderful person, and I love her so much.’ “
As well as being a former member of the US Girls Gymnastics team who won an Olympic Gold Medal, Hernandez, 25, is also Dump alum. Competed on Season 23 with Pro Dancer Val Chmerkovskiy In 2016, and the pair went on to win the Mirrorball Trophy. Hernandez was 16 at the time, making him the youngest winner of the show.
Chiles is expected to dance with pro Ezra Sosa For season 34. Her participation in the competition comes more than a year after the Paris Olympics, where she still won a gold medal in the women’s team. Chiles was also awarded a bronze medal practicing the single floor of the women, but was later drawn from the credit due to a controversial Sgorio appeal.
Romania’s Ana Bărbosu Initially to come in third place during the exercise, but coach Chiles, Cecile LandiRaised an investigation for the US Gymnast Score. The judges increased the score of Chiles one -tenth of a point, moving it to third place and hitting Bărbosu, 19, to the fourth.
The Romanian Gymnastics Federation filed an appeal to the Arbitration Court for Sport (CAS), arguing that Landi, 45, presented her appeal four seconds after the specified one -minute window.
Ultimately, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) sided with Bărbosu, giving the medal to the Romanian athlete. However, Chiles and her legal team have continued to fight the decision. Her representatives filed two appeals in the Supreme Court of Switzerland, most recently in September 2024.
In addition, US Gymnastics filed an appeal asking the court to require CAS to reopen the case and look at audio and video evidence obtained by Netflix camera crews, which in Paris was filming Simone Biles‘Docuseries, Fed. It is alleged that the pictures show that Landi did not file her appeal too late.

“A year ago today I walked off the floor in Paris with a bronze medal – and lessons I will carry with me for life,” he wrote. “The hardest moments actually teach you most. This year he got his highlights, but the lows are striking differently.”

When talking to UsChiles revealed how he competed in the Olympics helped to prepare her for Dump.
“I feel that competing on the world’s largest stage is like dancing in front of people,” he explained. “I think it’s more expected, rather than, like, fear or nerve, because it can actually display something and perform. So I’m performing all the time, but I feel it’s going to be different in a way.”
