The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) is preparing for its annual general meeting at the end of September, where various positions will be filled. According to reports, an old Indian cricket, known for beating multiple records during his career, is considered the leader who becomes the next President of BCCI.

Sourav Ganguly acted as BCCI president before being succeeded by the 1983 World Cup winner, Roger Binny. Binny left in July 2025 after reaching the 70 -year -old council limit, with Vice President Rajeev Shukla as acting president.

It is expected that the BCCI will be responsible for permanent leadership during the annual general meeting at the end of this month, with reports that suggest that the Council does not seek to retain Shukla for paper.
