The Honorary President of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeèss, described the premier League spending during the transfer window as “completely crazy” and insisted on the “Go Our Own Way” Bundesliga clubs.
Premier League teams spent approximately £ 3.19 million on Monday with champion Liverpool from £ 446.5 million.
Instead, Bayern was relatively quiet with Luis Diaz and Nicolas Jacksonwhose loan treatment will be made permanent next summer, their notable additions for a combined £ 135 million.
Bayern was also interested in Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade, but saw two offers rejected before Newcastle intervened to pay £ 69 million by a Swabians signed player in a free transfer 12 months earlier.
“I can only say that I was surprised what has happened in the last six to eight weeks in international football,” said Hoeress, who is also on the Bayern Supervisory Board.
“I think it is completely crazy what happens. If we are not attentive, people will finally ask,” Are they still healthy? “I work between 2000 and 3000 euros net per month, and at the same time 30, 40, 50 million euros are dedicated to medium -level players.”
Hoeèness has discussed the subject with Friedrich Merz with the German Chancellor that the Bundesliga clubs maintain their 50+1 rule, although it can make it difficult to compete in Europe.
Hoeness agrees and adds to Punch: “The Germans have to re -take a leadership role. We have to go our own path, show strength and not to make us dependent on the money of the Arabs, North -American Coverage Fund or Oligaques. It is important to continue developing young players and we help in a way that we never have to accept that money.”
Bayern is among the favorites to win the champion league this season, even if iteres believes it is similar to Hoffenheim’s possibilities in the Bundesliga.
“I can only say that I feel like next season,” Hoeness added, “because we go to the season in the Champions League like Hoffenheim.”
