The flotilla of the boats headed for a gas carried 350 pro -Palestinian activists – including agitation to change the climate of Gretzberg – went from Barcelona.
About 20 vessels reflecting the Palestinian flags left the Spanish port at 19:00 local time on Monday, as part of medical and food supplies.
The flotilla first tried to sail on Sunday, but had to return to the port from the stormy weather.
The purpose of the mission is to “break the illegal siege of Israel on gas,” the organizers stated – although the previous attempt to reach gas on the sea was intercepted by Israeli forces.
The Global Sumud Flotilla Mission plans to launch two waves – the first of Barcelona and the second from Tunisia on September 4.
Activists hope the boats will gather in the Mediterranean before swimming toward Gaza, a trip that will take seven days.
“We swim again to break the siege and open the humanitarian corridor,” Tunberg said in a video message.
Punk -Single Bob Vylan – who caused a dispute over to head “death to IDF (Israeli Defense Forces)” Glastanber – spoke in flotilla on Sunday.
He called the activists “brave people” who tried to do what the government had to do long. “
The Israeli authorities characterized the previous attempt to sail into the gas as an advertising trick that did not offer true humanitarian aid.
In March, Israel presented a nearly three -month common blockade on the goods that are included in the gas before allowing a limited amount of goods to return to the territory in late May after international pressure. Since then, the body has not been supported that there is hunger in the gas areas.
Since then, Israel has tried to impose its own distribution system through the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Fund, which is criticized by the help agencies.
In June, a yacht, which transported Tunberg and several other activists – and a symbolic number of humanitarian aid – was intercepted by Israeli forces when tried to reach Gaza.
The Israeli authorities accompanied the activists to the Port Ashdod before deporting them from the country.
In 2010, Israeli special forces killed 10 people when they sat down on a Turkish ship, Mavi Marman, who ran Flotilla assistance towards Gaza.
