The Czech leader of the opposition struck in his head with a crutch at the rally

The Czech leader of the opposition and former Prime Minister Andrei Babis came to the head with a metal crutch during the election rally.

He was taken to the hospital for testing and soon discharged. The woman was also treated in the hospital for the same incident. Her identity was not released.

Police detained the attacker. His motive remains unknown.

The attack on Babis was widely convicted, but his party accused the government of hatred “in billboards and social media”.

The incident happened during the rally in good, about 376 km (234 miles) east of the capital, Prague.

MP Alesha Juchelka, who was with Babis at the rally, said the party leader Ano (yes) hit the head several times.

He was taken to the hospital in the car – where after CT, the doctors threw him away.

In a brief statement at the Czech Republic, police said the suspect was arrested by officers who attended the rally “immediately after the attack”. They said the question was being investigated as “petty behavior”, but may be extended if necessary.

Babis held the post of Czech Prime Minister from 2017 to 2021.

His deputy Elena Shilerov has accused the attack on “hatred distributed by ruling parties.”

“This is the direct consequence of their company based on fear and division,” she said.

Prime Minister Petr Fila wished Babis a quick recovery and said in the election for his party that “violence does not belong to politics.”

The Czechs must vote in the October 3 and 4 elections.
