One person died and three more were injured after two planes collided near Fort Morgan’s municipal airport at the airport in Colorado Law enforcement officers said on Sunday.
The Morgan Sheriff’s office said the ambulance deputies and officers left the incident after receiving a report on the plane crash at about 10:45, when they arrived, they found that two planes left the fields near the airport.
The preliminary investigation showed that the small Seja was on the final approach to the runway when the second plane was impressed. Witnesses reported that they saw two planes clamped each other before falling to the ground.
Both aircraft caught fire when they hit Earth, according to the sheriff’s knowledge. Smoke plums could be seen as rising from the debris when the first respondents and random passers -by tried to throw out the fires.

Each plane wore two people. Seja’s occupiers suffered small injuries and were released at the scene, Sheriff’s office said.
One of the people aboard the second aircraft – additional flugzeugbau ea300 – was taken to a local hospital. The second was announced dead at the scene of the Morgan County.

In a statement, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that two planes collided when they tried to land.
FAA said both agencies would investigate with National Transport Security Council (NTSB) by taking the role and providing updates.

“We express our deep condolences to the family and the victim’s friends in this tragic event,” the Sheriff’s office said on Facebook. “This is an active investigation, and the names of the parties’ participants are not released at this time.”

The sheriff service also thanked the citizens who tried to extinguish the flames before the firefighters and other first respondents arrived.
