They will sit on the platform next to Cabinet officials and elected leaders, according to a person familiar with the inauguration planning who spoke to NBC News.

The significant presence of several tech luminaries and billionaires at Trump’s inauguration shows how quickly tech industry leadership has warmed to Trump as he enters his second term as president.

During Trump’s first term, Bezos regularly clashed with the president over ownership of The Washington Post, Amazon’s relationship with the US Postal Service and how much the tech company paid in taxes. Zuckerberg has also traded barbs with Trump, particularly on immigration and misinformation.

But as Trump takes office for a second term, the tech industry has contributed to his inaugural fund and several CEOs praised Trump and wished his administration well.

Musk has joined the Trump administration as an overseer of an upcoming advisory board called the Department of Government Efficiency, which aims to find and cut government spending. He also spent time with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Amazon and Meta have it contributed $1 million each to Trump’s inaugural fund. Google also contributed $1 million, CNBC reported last week. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman contributed $1 million, and also an apple General director Tim Cookaccording to a Axios report that the technology company did not comment.

Representatives for Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos declined to comment to NBC News.
