Giant broadcast football Lee’s course Been part of the college game since its play days in the 1950s. After a training career that took him to five different schools over 26 years, Corso hung the whistle and raised the microphone in 1987 – and that’s where the coach became a legend.
In the fall, he feels like his Gameday College colleagues on ESPN – including Accept Davis. Kirk Herbstriet. Pat McAfee and Nick Saban – is his family. But he has had his wife, Betsy YoungbloodBy his side since they married in 1957.
Together, they have four children – the daughter of Diane, the sons of Dan and Steve, and one other son who prefers to stay out of the spotlight. They also have 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Corso and Youngblood met while both signed up for classes as students at the University of Florida, where Corso played a quarterback. While Youngblood lives mostly private life, Corso has no problem shouting it on the sky. When ESPN announced Lee’s final Gameday College On August 30, 2025, he would be in the province of Ohio, expressed his disappointment in public. Steve is now an executive in Revelelhealth, but at college, he played his father at Indiana University. Lee tagged on the sky recalling one of his favorite memories as head coach – a thrilling victory in the final moments of a game against Kentucky in 1980.
Lee described the last play in great detail during a CHAPTER 2017 of Gameday College In Indiana, choking when he revealed that the player who caught the winning game was “My son Steve.”
