Arsenal has agreed to agree to sign Bayer Leverkusen Piero Hincapie’s defender on loan with the obligation to make the permanent movement, according to several reports.
The Gunners agreed on an agreement that has an obligation of 45 million pounds to sign the Ombudsman in a five -year contract at the end of this season.
Hincapie, who can play on the back and left, has made 166 appearances in Leverkusen since joining the Bundesliga club from the Argentine side Talleres in 2021.
He was part of the side of Leverkusen who won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal Double in the 2023-24 season, spending the entire domestic season in the undefeated while also reached the Europa League final, which they lost 3-0 against Atalanta.
The agreement presents a 10 percent sale clause, with Hincapie’s arrival to allow Jakub Kiwior to complete his transfer to Porto.
Hincapie will become the eighth signing of the arsenal of the transfer window, with his first opportunity for a debut for the Gunners that will be achieved after the international pause when welcoming Nottingham Forest on September 13. Mikel Arteta’s men face Liverpool in a blockbuster clash this Sunday.
