Christian Bruckner is still dangerous, a leading prosecutor in the case considers

The Prime Minister -Passed German Investigator in the disappearance of Madeleine McCan will be released from prison in a few weeks, local authorities confirmed.

Christian Bruckner, who is serving his sentence in Northern Germany for condemnation of rape, will be released no later than September 17.

Hans Christian Walters also said he believed that the 48-year-old German national was dangerous, but that the current legal situation meant that he should be released from prison without delay.

Brückner is never accused of crime against Madeleine and denies participation.

On May 3, 2007, the then three years disappeared from a residential complex in Opi to Luza in Algarve, which caused an investigation as a whole in Europe, which became one of the most popular cases of missing.

Madeleine’s parents had lunch with friends at the restaurant a few minutes walking while their daughter and her younger brothers and sisters slept in the apartment on the first floor.

They periodically went to the children while her mother Kate found that she lacked around 22:00 local time.

The case remains unresolved, but the German prosecutors pointed to the evidence, which believes that Bruckner could be in the area when Madeleine disappeared.

Mr. Walters said that, while he and other prosecutors did not believe that they had enough evidence to officially charge Bruckner in the McCan case, their efforts would continue.

Brückner “is not only our suspect number one, he’s the only suspect,” he said. “There is no one else.”

“We have evidence against (Brückner), which indicates that it is responsible for the disappearance and death of Madeleine,” he said.

“We haven’t found anything in the last five years that allocate (it). We have found evidence that strengthen our business. But in our opinion, this is not strong enough to make the verdict probable, and so we still couldn’t pay it and apply for arrest warrant.”

Due to the differences in the legal systems, the German authorities suspect Bruckner of killing against Madeleine McCan, while British police continues to consider its disappearance as missing people.

Hans Christian Walters’ prosecutor says that efforts to set up a case against Brookner are ongoing

The prosecutor – who led Germany’s efforts to decide Madeleine, because they announced that Bruckner was their main suspect in 2020 – he added that the expert recently assessed Brookner as a danger to society.

“You must wait (Brückner) to commit further crimes.”

As a result, the prosecutor’s office appealed for the restrictions that would be placed on it when it is released – including the adaptation to the ankle, said Mr. Walters. These conditions will be resolved by a court hearing that will not be open to the public.

The disappearance of Madeleine was originally investigated by the Portuguese authorities before German prosecutors came forward. The Portuguese authorities also called Brookner an official suspect or “Argoid”.

Bruckner, who spent many years in Algarve, was a drift, a small criminal and a convicted sex criminal. In 1994 and 2016, he has several preliminary beliefs, including sexual abuse.

It is known that he spent time in the same part of Portugal between 2000 and 2017. German prosecutors have linked their mobile phone details and the sale of cars with their business against it.

Brookner is currently in prison for raping a 72-year-old American tourist in Portugal in 2005.

Portuguese and German police were conducted Fresh search in June The land between where the maccons was located and turned to Bruckner, but it did not give a breakthrough.

However, Mr. Walters said the subjects that were confiscated during the search are still analyzed.

He said he understood the investigation into prosecutors in the North -German city of Braunshvig, may lose his authority after five years of investigations, seemingly non -sensitive results.

“I can only ask your understanding that we would definitely not be so clearly five years ago if we only had hot air.”

The German prosecutor said he had not excluded further searches.

Last year Brückner is something cleared by the German court of rape and sexual abuse in a non -related lawsuit.
