Prince Harry returns to the UK on the third -birthday Queen Elizabeth IIDeath for a case close to home.
“Prince Harry will be celebrating 20 years of Wellchild Awards in London,” the national charity shared in a statement through X on Thursday, August 28.
Duke of Sussex, 40, shared a statement of his own, posted it through the Wellchild’s social media accounts.
“I am always a privilege of attending the Wellchild awards and meeting the amazing children, families and professionals who inspire us all with their strength and spirit,” he said. “For 20 years these awards have highlighted the bravery of young people living with complex health needs and shines light on the dedicated care donors who support them every step of the road.”

Harry has been a Wellchild sponsor for 17 years and attends the charity’s awards ceremony annually. This year’s event is expected to take place on Monday, September 8, and will include a speech by Harry during the ceremony. (Elizabeth died on September 8, 2022, at 96.)
Next month’s trip marks the first time Harry will travel across the pool since Losing its appeal for government -funded security in April.
