The UK, France and Germany launched the process of restoring UN major sanctions on Iran – rose as part of the transaction in 2015 – when the tension again grows into Iran’s nuclear program.
This step will cause the so -called Snapback mechanism that can lead to the return of sanctions in 30 days.
Three countries, participants of the 2015 Agreement, warned two weeks ago that they were ready to do so if Iran did not agree with the “diplomatic decision” by the end of August.
Negotiations between Iran and the United States have not resumed its nuclear program since June, when the US has bombed Iranian nuclear monuments, and Iran has banned inspectors who did not support access to their facilities.
Many years of economic sanctions were lifted in exchange for vigor for Iran’s nuclear program as part of a transaction with Iran and the United States, the UK, France, Germany, China and the EU.
But the transaction unfolded after Donald Trump pulled out the US and returned sanctions related to Nuclear in 2018 during his first term. In response, Iran strengthened its nuclear activity by fueled a new crisis.
Western powers and the global nuclear body of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) say they are not convinced that Iran’s nuclear program has exceptionally peaceful goals. Iran strongly insists that it does not seek nuclear weapons, and that its nuclear program is exclusively civil.
