Nvidia Jensen CEO Jensen Juan said there is a “real opportunity”, the company brings its advanced Blackwell processor to China when it calls on the US government to open access to US chips.
He also predicted the artificial intelligence market in the second largest economy in the world to grow by 50% next year.
“The opportunity to bring Blackwell to the Chinese market is a real opportunity,” Juan said on Wednesday at the call to the latest quarterly Nvidia results. “We just have to continue to stand for the importance of US technology companies to be able to run and win AI race, as well as help make the American technological stack world standards.”
Juan personally visited the White House in July and August to provide export licenses for a modern Nvidia Chip for Chinese II called H20. In August, the White House announced that President Donald Trump and Juan signed a deal when Nvidia receives export licenses in exchange for 15% sales in China H20.
After the meeting, Trump said he was open to the Blackwell chips, which is the latest AI NVIDIA technology, which is currently consisting of most of his income at the data center.
Juan said for Chinese AI developers it is better to use NVIDIA chips rather than make them use a home Chinese version, preventing export, which can stimulate the Chinese technology industry before catching up.
If China will release the Blackwell chip in China, it can push a large amount of sales as Chinese AI developers choose the most powerful chips. Nvidia would have to change your Blackwell chips for the US market to make them slower in some aspects to comply with US export rules.
“Blackwell-super-fools advanced. I wouldn’t have made a deal,” Trump – said in AugustBefore you add that it was possible to make a deal for Blackwell version.
On Wednesday, Huang’s bull comments came after the company reported about the growth of revenue in the second quarter, which a year for 56% to $ 54 billion, despite the fact that no H20 chip has sold for the quarter. Nvidia said she had released $ 180 million in the H20 inventory outside China, which amounted to $ 650 million.
Nvidia said it does not count on the sale of H20 in October as part of its forecast of $ 54 billion, but the company can sell from $ 2 to $ 5 billion in H20 chips, depending on the geopolitical environment.
“If we had more orders, we can create more,” said Nvidia Calette Kress financing head for a call with analysts.
Nvidia said that after meeting with Trump received some licenses, the US government has not yet published the official rules that set out how its sales reduction will work.
“USG representatives have expected that USG will receive 15% of revenue received from licensed H20 sales, but today the USG has not published a regulation that is saying such a requirement,” Kras said.
Juan told analysts that the China-DRUGE is the largest market in the world.
“The Chinese market, which estimates this year is about $ 50 billion when we managed to solve it with competitive products,” Juan said. “And if it is $ 50 billion this year, you expect it to grow, say, 50% a year.”
Recent reports It was noted that the Chinese government encourages AI developers to use homegrown chips over those of Nvidia.
“We are still waiting for several geopolitical issues that go between governments and companies trying to determine their purchases and what they want to do,” Kress said.
