The Batsman’s replacement of the 33 -year -old India National Cricket Team, Karun Nair, in Vidarbha, has been confirmed after making the decision to leave the team.
Karun Nair joined Karnataka three seasons in Karnataka after his last appearance for the team, after spending the last two seasons with Vidarbha.

Nair offered impressive performances for Vidarbha in the domestic cricket through formats and played a key role in his third triumph of the Ranji Trophy.

He scored 863 runs in 16 entries with four centuries at 53.93 on the Ranji Trophy and forced the Selection Committee to remember him on the test team after 8 more years.
The whisk had also set fire to the Trophy Vijay Hazarere, after scoring 779 runs in eight tickets and played a few incredible times for Delhi Capitals at IPL 2025.
However, Nair was unable to replicate his success in the five -game test series against the National Clicet team in England. He started the England tour with a brilliant 204 in a tour of tour against the Lions of England in Canterbury.

Ravikumar Samarth replaces Karun Nair in Vidarbha
According to a report to Cricbuzz, Ravikumar Samarth is likely to appear in the central area of next domestic season.

Now the batter joins Vidarbha as a similar replacement to Karun Nair. Next to Samarth as a new recruitment, Dhruv Shorey will continue to be his second professional.
“I took Uttarakhand’s NOC and I’m waiting for the formalities (with Vidarbha),” Samarth said to Cricbuzz on Wednesday.
In general, Ravikumar Samarth has played 95 first class games in his career and marked 6157 runs to an average of 39.72.

England is a difficult place to catch – Karun nair
In a recent interview with Revsportz, Karun Nair spoke about the discomfort of India on the tour of England and his outstanding performance as a camper. Said:
“England is a tough place to take. When the two teams fall a few catches, there must be factors involved. It has been a really hard series to see the ball sometimes and then put their hands in the right position to take them.
“A second late in the sight of the ball can make a difference. While practicing, it was to recreate these situations and backgrounds from where the ball can come and focus on how we would react when we did not see the ball. I have always been someone who worked on my capture and being in the sliders throughout my career, it has come to me naturally.”
