The big question before the Duleep Trophy 2025 workshop is if Shubman Gill will come out as captain of the north or not. With the tournament that began on August 28 between the northern and east area in Bengaluru, there is still no clarity about the availability of Shubman Gill.
The northern area has already begun to prepare for life, assuming that its pattern Gill will be united. But there has been no official word of the Captain of Testing of India or of the BCCI. If Gill does not get the service of the medical team, the vice-chicer of the northern area, Ankit Kumar, will take over.

But a few days before the tournament workshop, Gill became ill with the viral fever and was asked to be tested medical. The reports are now with the BCCI doctors and the availability of the Indian test captain completely depends on their authorization.
While several reports claimed Gill’s unavailability, the northern area camp has not yet received any official word, leaving them in suspense.
We have not heard anything from Shubman Gill or BCCI: North Zone
A member of the northern zone technical staff said that Revptportz said, “If Shubman is not available, he would inform the selectors and/or the BCCI. We have heard nothing of them, neither Shubman, yet, and we hope that he will join the squad today, along with hard grill. Beyond that, I cannot say anything. If it is not available, then we will think.
Some of the hired players will visit the BCCI Center of Excellence at the end of this month for preseason fitness tests, especially those who will have to play the next Duleep 2025 trophy.
Above all, the 25-year-old, who is also the Vice-Capitan of India for the next Asia Cup 2025, was expected to play only the first game in the northern area before flying for his national work.

The 25 -year -old Indian Obrador has 2775 runs in his first 55 entries hatred in his name, and these are more than any other cricketter in history, where even Kohli is shot in the top five. Gill was followed by Amla (2713), Imam (2539), Zaheer Abbas (2432) and Fakhar Zaman (2410).
Gill is already the captain of the Indian test team, the Vice-Capitan of T20is and the Deputy of Rohit Sharma to Hate. With Rohit approaching at the end of his career, Gill will become the next captain of the entire India format, most likely after the Indian white ball tour in Australia at the end of this year.
