The players of the Indian Cricket National Team, including the Kohli, Ms. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, have to suffer a mass financial blow after the ban was imposed on real online money games.
With the fantasy sports companies that close their real games, Indian cricketers are likely to lose 150-200 INR crores in the year of these terminated contracts, according to a report to Cricbuzz.

The new law was passed in the two houses of Parliament and received presidential consent in August 2025. In the meantime, industry experts said that the advertising industry will lose about 8,000-10,000 in a year after the Government action.
