US President Donald Trump on Monday the state warned of more steady tariffs for China when exports of rare earthworks were holding back, threatening the unstable trading truce between the two largest economies in the world.
“They have to give us magnets if they do not give us magnets, then we have to charge 200% of them or anything,” Trump told reporters after meeting with South Korean President Lee Jay Mung at the White House on Monday.
Trump also said that parts of the plane were a key impact that Washington should resist Beijing’s preservation on rare lands: “200 of their planes could not fly because we did not give them Boeing’s details because they did not give us magnets.”
