Rosie O’Donnell call for Lylle and Erik Menendez To be released from prison following their latest parole denial.
The first View Cohost shared a message to support the murderers found guilty through Instagram On Saturday, August 23, after the Menendez brothers lost a bid to get his paro for killing their parents in 1989 José and Mary Louise “Kitty” menendez.
“Free the Menendez brothers,” wrote O’Donnell, 63.
Erik and Lyle were both denied parole at separate hearings last week. Although convicted of two counts of first degree murder in 1996, they have always claimed to have acted in defense of themselves due to physical, emotional and sexual abuse by their parents.

“The Menendez brothers have never accepted responsibility for the horrific murders of their parents, continuing to promote a false narrative of self-defense rejected by the jury decades ago,” he said in a statement on Wednesday. “We have constantly opposed their release because they have not shown full insight into their crimes or have shown that they have been fully rehabilitated, and therefore continue to pose a risk to society.”
