Arsenal maintained its 100 % of the new Premier League season, as they hammer Leeds United 4-0 in a game that saw Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard suffered.
The gunners, who presented a new Ebechi Eze signing to the Emirate Stadium fans Before the starting shot, they were not uncommon in the victory by 1-0 at Manchester United last week.
It took a while to enter the first game at home in the new season. However, they were in cruise control after they swear Timber gave them an advantage of the 34th minute, which was dubbed by Saka in the half after Captain Ogegaard was obliged.
Viktor Gyokeres scored his home debut with a goal to put the game out of doubt before Saka later got up and went on worrying scenes for Arsenal fans before his trip to Anfield next week to face the Liverpool Champions.
But Timber provided the Arsenal more reasons to celebrate it when he doubled his account, with Gyokeras providing the final touch of the penalty site in stoppage, as Leeds fell to Earth with a blow after the 1-0 victory over Everton Monday.
Arsenal found opportunities hardly to get to the start, Odegaard firing closely wide before Pascal Struijk saw a head saved by David Raya at the other end.
But Timber broke the deadline typical of Arsenal under Mikel Arteta in recent seasons, the defender turned the good delivery of Declan Rice from a corner with an excellent head.
The 200th Odegaard appearance for the club ended with a sour note later. The Norwegian had fallen badly in a challenge with Anton Stach at the beginning of the first half and twice received a treatment before admitting the defeat after the third visit from medical staff.
He was replaced by Ethan Nwaneri, with Saka grabbing his arm and then 2-0 when he was put in the upper left corner, having been touched on the right channel for Timber.
Gyokeras effectively ended the game as a contest when it cut off the left and launched beyond a Lucas Perri, in the lower right corner, although there was more concern for injuries to the Arsenal after Saka set at the end of a sprint and immediately stated that he had to be withdrawn from the action.
Saka’s departure did not stop Arsenal’s impulse, however, and the stunning wood added brightness to the man’s man in the 56th minute after another corner caused chaos in the Leeds box.
Gyokeres got a hand with almost the final kick of the game from 12 meters after Max Dowman, 15, had been awarded by Stach.
Arsenal will now wait to learn the severity of wounds in Saka and Odegaard, which could make Eze’s arrival more important ahead of a mouth meeting with Liverpool.
