Cricket Hong Kong, China, on Friday, August 22, announced the staff of 20 members for the next Asia Cup 2025 and the field of preparation for the United Arab Emirates. Yasim Murtza has been appointed Captain of Hong Kong, while Babar Hayat will be his deputy.
Hong Kong, China, has reserved his place in the Asia Cup after winning the standings through the Premier CUP of ACC 2024. They secured their place crushing Nepal in the third playoff. The next continental tournament will mark the fifth global appearance of Hong Kong in the Asia Cup.
They have participated in the previous four editions of the tournament in 2004, 2008, 2018 and 2022, and now expect to have a stronger impact under Yasim Murtaza, which is expected to their first important task as a patron. The team will head to the Arab Emirates united on August 24.

However, before the next Cup Asia 2025, from September 9, the Hong Kong team will play T20 games during their preparation field for the United Arab Emirates. His new titular coach, Kaushal Silva, a former Sri Lanka baptism, will shoot his time with the next tournament.

In the meantime, Kaushal Silva said that Hong Kong’s final preparations for the tournament will begin with the tour of the United Arab Emirates, where they go with 20 players. Silva said that the widest squad would give him the opportunity to “value each individual and provide players with the opportunity to perfect their skills and build stronger bonds and a winning mentality within the group.”

In the end, Silva said he is clear about his mission, saying that all players have to win their place, as they do not want to participate in the Asia Cup 2025, but to compete, win games and enjoy the experience. They will open their campaign against Afghanistan on September 9.
