The President of Matchroom’s boxing promotions, Eddie Hearn, says that Tim Tszyu’s last losses against Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev showed that it is now an average “elite weight.”
Hearn claims that the former 154-pound Tszyu Wbo champion (25-3, 18 kos) must invest in a race reestablishment, rebuilding with a “couple of fights” to start winning. Eddie does not say who Tszyu, 30, should fight that he will return him to the vintage form he had shown before his losses in Murtazaliev and founder.
“I really like Tim Tszyu. I think it is very entertaining. What has been shown is that it is not good enough to fight and win at the elite level,” said promoter Eddie Hearn a Jai Mcallister, boxing Youtube Channel, reacting to the three recent failures for the former Wbo Junior Middleweight tim tszyu champion.
Tszyu’s defeats against Fundora X 2 and Bakhram Murtazaliev showed it Is not a “elite level” fighter At 154. Hearn added that there are best fighters found by Junior Middleweight, calling Jaron Ennis and Terence Crawford. He thinks Tszyu is down the talented packages, below Ennis, Crawford, Fundora and Murtazaliev. Hearn did not mention any other fighter who thinks he is above Tszyu.
“I think the last defeat (for Tszyu) was really crushing because in the first struggle (against Sebastian Fundora), he did very well. Then he stopped (Bakhram) Murtazaliev, and then stopped by Fundora, it was a great blow. Fans are very fast to put you in the queue.
Tszyu appeared since the first round against Fundora and overflowed with the volume of the 154 -pound WBC champion. Inside, Tim repeatedly struck with capital letters and Fundora’s short hooks. Showed no head movement to avoid punching.
Revenge error
“Returning directly to Fundora, a stylistic nightmare, was a mistake. He did not show a new tool for managing height or volume. It was like seeing the first struggle again,” said Sports Illustrated Chris Mannix, who reacted to Fundora’s loss of Tszyu last July.
“Is (Tszyu) to make the investment now to return. This is for me have a couple of fights to return to the winning slot. I do not know their training, but it has had a lot of hard fights and these fights affect, “said Hearn.
Tszyu already took a reconstruction fight against a 154 -pound contestant, Joey Spencer, earlier this year, on April 6, and ravaged it in four rounds in Newcastle.
In this struggle, Tim, 30, seemed like the same talent he had been before his defeat on his back against Fundora and Murtazaliev.
“Tim is a hard child but You could say he was wearing a little psd From these losses. He fought as if he wanted to prove something, but did not fight Smart, “said Terence Crawford, WBA Junior Middleweight, at Espn Ringside Comment, discussing the psychological state of Tszyu during the resale of Fundora.” Against a guy like founder, you need movement and a plan B. He had no, “said Crawford.
When Tszyu fought Fundora in its resale three months later on July 19, she was detained in seven rounds by Fundora in Las Vegas. Tim seemed worse than he had in his first fight against Sebastian on March 30, 2024.
