Elon Muskasked the richest man in the world Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg To help him finance $ 97.4 billion for the Openai acquisition in early 2025, a court application appeared on Thursday.
The submission is part of the court case between Moscow and Openai, which was started last year. The federal court of Northern California, and recently the judge said that Openai could move forward with counter-calls against Moscow, which in 2015 was co-founded Openai as non-profit with Sam Altman and others.
When Musk sailed in February to buy Openai, it was angry that the company and the CEO of Openai pushed the business into a non -profit organization. Altman and Musk, who were long -standing friends, became bitter opponents after the appearance of Openai as a leader in the generative II with billions of dollars in financing Microsoft.
Musi began XAI in 2023 and encouraged him to be the direct competitor of Openai. Later, Musk sued Openai, claiming a contract violation and tried to stop Openai from transforming into a non -profit campaign.
In his counter -claims, Openai claimed that the “fake application” Musk and XAI had damaged his case and that Musk was engaged in “persecution” through lawsuits and attacks in social media and in the press.
As part of his complaint, Openai applied to court to court for a link between the company, its CEO and Musk about the application.
In a statement in a court, published on Thursday, Openai said that when Musk and XAI tried to create a consortium investor to finance the absorption, they appealed to Zuckerberg with a letter of intent and asked “about potential arrangements for financing and investment”.
Neither Zuckerberg nor meta signed loi, the submission said.
Press Socialist Meta abandoned comment. Mark Toberof, a Musk lawyer in the case, did not respond to a comment request.
The statement stated that Meta “conducts great expenses for the development of Al” and “proposes” to offer packages of $ 100 million and more leading AL researchers and an attempt to pierce Openai staff. ”
Meta claims that Openai requests are over -complicated, and that Openai should receive relevant messages from Musk and XAI.
