Hailee Steinfeld already a famous actress and singer, but now, she’s NFL royalty.
A new billboard in Buffalo, New York, congratulated Steinfeld, 28, and the Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on their recent engagement by declaring the pair king and queen of the city. “The Queen City has a new queen,” the billboard read, according to a statement X photo shared by CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson Sunday evening, January 12. “Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”
The billboard featured graphic images of Steinfeld and Allen, 28, as a queen and king playing cards. Steinfeld’s caricature featured a crown and flashed an engagement ring, while Allen’s playing card featured his No.17 jersey and helmet.
The billboard apparently went up to celebrate the Bills’ playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Steinfeld attended the game, which the Bills won by a score of 31-7. Backup quarterback Shane Buechelewife, Paige Buechelereposted an Instagram Story video of the girls watching the game with Taylor BernardBills linebacker’s wife Terrell Bernarda Hailee Watson.

Steinfeld and Allen announced their engagement in unison Instagram post in November 2024. The post — captioned “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️” — contained a glimpse of Allen’s proposal, which took place in front of a beautiful beach sunset, under a gorgeous floral arch and surrounded by candles.
Allen later admitted in the December 2024 issue of Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter that he “very nervous” to pop the question. “It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you,” she noted. “Then, several times during the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking how special our day would be.”

Sharing more details about their special moment, Allen added, “I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”
Allen said Steinfeld was “very surprised” by the proposal, quipping, “It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and wonderful and fun and happy.”

Steinfeld and Allen started dating shortly after the athlete split from his ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams in April 2023. “Hailee and Josh have been together for about a month and it’s going really great,” a source exclusively said Us Weekly in June 2023. “(They) laugh a ton when they’re together (and) always smile.”
The pair did not go Instagram official until July 2024 when Allen shared several snapshots of himself and Steinfeld in a Instagram carouseland captioned it, “On 🤘🏼.”
A month before their engagement, the duo wore ring master costumes to hold a Halloween bash for Allen’s Bills teammates and their significant others. “Welcome to Josh & Hailee’s Circus Showdown,” read a sign inside the venue that appeared in social media posts from the event.
