Judge Frank Caprio Died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. It was 88.
“Beloved for his compassion, humility and his unwavering belief in the goodness of people, the judge touched the lives of millions through his work in the court room and beyond,” read a statement posted to his authentic Instagram Count on Wednesday, August 20, confirming the unlikely death of social media. “His warmth, humor, and his kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.”
Caprio was known for his show Still in providence, which ran between 2018 and 2020 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations during the day.
He also won the title “Nicest Judge in the World” on Tiktok, after fans discovered clips of the judge practicing compassion and empathy in his providence, Rhode Island, a court room.
“He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a zealous husband, father, grandfather, old -father and friend,” read the statement from her official Instagram. “His inheritance lives in the innumerable acts of kindness that inspired.”
The statement continued, “In honor of him, whether we will all strive to bring a little more compassion to the world – just as he did every day.
On Tuesday, August 19, he grabbed his followers’ attention when he posted a video via Instagram from what seemed like a hospital bed.

“Last year, I asked you to pray for me and it is very clear that you did because I came through a very difficult time,” shared Capri. “Unfortunately, I’ve had a barrier and I’m back in hospital. Now I’m coming to you again asking you to remember me in your prayers again.”
He added, “I’m a great believer in the power of prayers. I think the Almighty above looks over us. So please remember me.”
Hours later faced another post on his page read“Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to him.”
Caprier first revealed his battle with Pancreas Cancer in December 2023 Instagram Video.
His diagnosis would not prevent the judge from sharing stories feeling good from across the county on his social media feed.
