Former Australian goalkeeper Adam Gilchrist and former England captain Michael Vaughan have rated the performances of the Indian cricket team’s superstars jasprit bumrah and Virat Kohli in the recent blockbuster Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia.

Adam Gilchrist said on the ‘Club Prairie Fire’ YouTube channel: “We said it; it’s an all-terrain package; it brings eyes to the game. So yeah, 7.5/10.”
Gilchrist also praised Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his bowling prowess. He claimed that Bumrah would have smashed batting legends like Sir Don Bradman in his prime. The former Australian wicketkeeper boldly claimed that Bumrah would have knocked out Bradman in a few balls.
Gilchrist noted: “I don’t rate him; no number matches what it is in world sport. I’m beyond (trinity), seriously. It would have broken Bradman’s peak in terms of balls. It would have been much more south of the 99th (average) where it sits (if they faced each other). I would give Donald 35 off Bumrah. You can’t have a high enough reward for him.”
Meanwhile, in the same discussion, former England captain Michael Vaughan has pointed out that Virat Kohli entertained the fans with his passion and antics on the field. Vaughan gave Kohli a solid rating of 7/10 for entertaining the fans with his energy and interactions with the crowd and the Australian players.
