Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley Insisted that there is nothing wrong with their marriage after returning home from prison.
“I want to be completely transparent, there is an adaptation period,” Julie, 52, shared during the chapter on Wednesday, August 20, “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” podcast. “It is not an adaptation period in our marriage, as such – it is only a conversion period, back to life.”
Todd, 56, and Julie spent 28 months in prison after being convicted of tax evasion and bank and wire fraud in 2022. They were Given “Full Unconditional Pardon” by President Donald Trump In May and they were released from prison that month. (Todd was teasing that the Family Docuseries that offers a more detailed view of their legal position.)
Todd made it clear that he and Julie have not had “any trouble reconnecting” following their release.
“No, so the parts were still working. They still fit,” he said. “It’s like plugging into the same station.”
Julie also addressed comments about Todd “cutting” her in the middle of a conversation during a previous chapter.
“Listen, Todd and I have been together for 31 years. Trust me when I say I can stand my own land,” he said. “I can stand with the best of them. I’ve stood with him for 31 years. No one needs to worry about that.”
Julie said she was aware that her husband can “sometimes get lippy” and know when to “put it in place.”
“The fact that you don’t see does not mean it doesn’t happen,” he continued. “Let me just say that.”
Julie went back to explain her and Todd’s “adjustment phase” after prison.
“I don’t think anyone can go through what we went through and think you’re not changed because you are. There are differences. You see things differently, you respond differently. That’s what it is,” he said. “I’ve spoken to many people who have been in prison. I’ve talked to people that I’m in prison with them have come home and faced similar issues.”
He added, “So, there is an adaptation period, but our marriage is not struggling. Our marriage is not fragile. We survived a prison. We survived being away from each other for 28 months, without being able to talk other than through it -you can get them or not.”
This is not the first time Todd and Julie have addressed questions about the status of their marriage since being released. Couple divorce rumors directed During the appearance of a “unlocked” podcast Savannah Chrisley’s daughter last month.
“Let me set the record straight away,” said Julie. “We’re not divorced.”
