Sharon Horgan had a complex history with Amanda KnoxHigh profile trial before being cast as her mother, Edda mellasin Hulu’s Amanda Knox’s Twisted Story.

“The personal side of it, how the family affected and what Edda and Amanda went through it as a mother and daughter and how much he ripped the family apart,” shared Horgan. “So from my point of view as someone who played her mother, that was the draw for me to have the opportunity to portray that relationship and how much they affected.”
Horgan remembered listening to transcripts and doing research on -lein to go to character.
“There is not much by the way. But enough to see how a woman from a perfectly normal background herself was in this amazing situation, how she herself did, how she managed to stay calm, how he managed to represent himself and her family under that prosperity,” he explained. “I was able to see how he responded to the circus.”
