“Too, too hard, too fast” – Dubois vows to overwhelm Parker

Joseph Parker today warned IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois that he is making a mistake looking ahead to the February 22 fight for bigger bouts.

Awkward exchange

Dubois and Parker seemed uncomfortable talking trash today because that’s neither their style nor their quick wit. The wheels could be seen turning as they tried to think of things to say in response to the remarks. It was painful to watch.

These two could have used a hidden earpiece to feed them lines at times like theseas American politicians do during debates.

Challenger Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) and Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) reunited today for the press conference for their fight next month on the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol 2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Parker alluded to the 27-year-old Dubois looking ahead jumping into the ring after the Dec. 21 rematch between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury to call out Oleksandr in embarrassment.

Don’t underestimate

Joseph Parker: “Maybe you’re looking too far ahead to other big fights. You’ve got a big fight ahead of you now,” Joseph Parker told IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois earlier today. press conference.

Daniel Dubois: “I have my mind firmly set on you.”

Parker: “It better be.”

Dubois: “I will be too much for him. Too much, too loud and too fast. Whatever I do, I will do it better. I’m sure I don’t have to say too much and talk too much. Let the fans tune in. It will be a great fight.”

Parker: “I’ve been boxing for a while, but I feel like I’ve got it all right now. You’ve got a gift.”

Dubois: “I’ll teach you a few things in there. Since you started, I’ll teach you a few lessons with some new skills.”

Parker: “I’m looking forward to it. Take it.”

Dubois: “He’s always been like that, a nice guy. But once the bell rings, we’re going to try to take each other’s heads off.”

Parker: “I like that he is full of confidence. It’s very high at the moment, but it will all stop on February 22nd. let’s go.”

Dubois: “No,” Daniel said when asked if he had a final message for Parker.
