A well -known South African deputy fired to fight off the brutal gang attack on him and his two colleagues in Cape Town.
Ian Cameron – Along with the two other members of the Parliament Police Committee, Lisa Shickerling and Nicolas Gotsel – returned from a working trip when Philippi was ambushed to Philippi on Tuesday.
The germs broke the windows of the car with bricks, injuring Cameron and Gotsel.
Cameron, whose teeth were broken, were reassured by opening fire, injuring one of the attackers.
Police said two teenagers aged 16 and 18 were arrested when they investigated the case for attempting murder and attempt.
The crime is a major problem in South Africa, and the country has one of the highest levels of murder in the world.
One of the suspects was detained by seeking medical treatment at the hospital on Tuesday and the other was arrested on the farm at the beginning of Wednesday, police said, adding that the search was conducted by the third suspect.
Cameron, headed by the police committee, told the Newzroom Afrika TV presenter that they were returning from an unverified visit to the Philippi police Academy when “the first brick went through the driver’s side and hit him in the face.
Cameron said that when he tried to fight off the attacker, he saw that his colleagues were also facing a flurry of attacks by other attackers.
“I realized that if we do nothing, it could go very badly. So I did my best to act in self-defense with my firearm, and then we went to the nearest safe place,” he added.
In South Africa, it is legally transporting firearms while you have a license.
Cameron, who cut his lips in an interview, stated that some of his teeth were defeated and Gotselle had to be hospitalized briefly after he had been hit on his head.
Gotsel, speaking after his discharge from the hospital, praised Cameron, saying that he “acted with such bravery.”
All three MPs are members of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the second largest party of the South Africa coalition government.
The party said the attack showed how in South Africa the crime is “out of control”.
