Joss Stone shares how he managed to escape an aggressive relationship

Singer Joss stone looks back on her decision to leave an aggressive relationship in the past.

Stone, 38, answered a fan question of her podcast “A Cuppa Love” In an Instagram video On Saturday, August 16, when a listener wrote in for being “willing to leave” a relationship and ask for “help” to go out. Stone said the note made her “take a breath” when she read, knowing that the answer could not wait until her next podcast.

In a series of subsequent videos posted on Sunday, August 17, Stone shared advice for the listener, saying “having a plan” for how to leave “is a very good idea.”

Stone then revealed that she experienced a similar situation.

“I had tried to leave it, I can’t tell you many times,” said Stone about the relative of the past, without revealing her partner’s identity at the time. “Every time he felt he was getting more and more dangerous. One day he threw me out – surprised how strong he was, he wasn’t that tall.”

Stone claimed him to “thrive me out in the rain” when she was wearing no more than a T-shirt.

“He thought he locked the gate and was stuck in the driveway, and I didn’t know the code to go out. He thought he had trapped me in the rain,” he remembered. “I knew the code.”

Once she opened the gate, Stone remembered thinking “There’s no way to hurt me” and run away from the house.

“My feet killed me, being torn by the bloody concrete,” he continued. “I’m running and I think, ‘I’m going to get to the end of this road,’ and I don’t have anything.”

Stone was “still running” but she didn’t have his phone. Stone eventually realized that “f *** though ran after me.”

“It was so annoying,” he added. “Anyway, he caught me and told me that the police were going to come to my arrest and all those things. It was all loads of bulls ***.”

Stone said he “dragged me back” to the house, but later found a way to leave the relationship behind.

“I was able to leave it because I was a traveling musician. So I used to go on the way to do my job,” he explained. “I decided not to never go back. That was actually easy. I don’t need to be noble and kind and try to break up with him face to face. I tried to do so many times and was extremely dangerous.”
