Trump supports Putin’s proposal for Russia to control the Donbass region of Ukraine

President Donald Trump supports the proposal of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to Moscow to take complete control over the Donbass region and freeze the front line elsewhere for another place for Agreement with UkraineThe European Diplomat Fox News confirmed.

After calls with zelenskyy and European leadersTrump said on Saturday on social media that “it was definitely all that the best way to stop the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to move directly to a peace agreement that would end the war rather than a simple ceasefire agreement.”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told ZDF television that Trump said Russia “seems ready to negotiate on the basis of the so -called contact line rather than administrative borders.”

In a statement after the call with Trump, large European leaders did not address whether they prefer a peaceful ceasefire.

Putin described his talks with Trump in Alaska as “very sincere”.

“Of course, we respect the position of the US administration, which sees the need for a rapid ceasefire,” Putin said at the next meeting in the Kremlin, adding that “we would like to move to all issues in peaceful ways.”
