HRGOVIC Heavy Philip (19-1, 14 Kos) says that David Adeleye should have demolished (14-2, 13 kos) to “Crazy” Eighth round after he dropped him with his right hand in his fight on Saturday night at Anb Arena de Riad.
Hrgovic was wounded in the round and almost fell by Adeleye after eating a punch of eight strokes. However, he escaped to escape the round and won a unanimous decision of ten rounds. The scores were 99-91, 99-90 and 99-90.
Philip, 33, admitted that he “relaxed a little” and was caught by a great punch of Adeleye. He assumed that the British fighter Adeleye was in his mercy and did not recognize that he was still in his powers and dangerous.
After the eighth round, Hrgovic resumed domination to Adeleye and avoided Homerun’s punching, occasional, thrown.
Adeleye assumed a lot of punishments in the fight, the type that few heavyweights of the division could have supported without being eliminated. These were not Hrgovic’s arm, as some fans mistakenly believed. You could hear the impact and appeared as powerful as those that Moses Ituma landed in Dillian Whyte at the main event. Hrgovic was really sitting in his shots, connecting -cleanly all night, but Adeleye showed a hard beard.
“I demolished it and I should have done it. I was a little too relaxed, and then caught me with a few good shots and almost demolished me. Yes, I think it was a crazy round,” said Philip Hrgovic a QueensberrySpeaking of the eighth round of his struggle tonight against David Adeleye. “I’m sorry not to end.”
Adeleye played Possum with Hrgovic and turned with a huge left hook in the eighth round when he thought he was ready to be eliminated. The crowd aroused Adeleye’s competitive spirit with his joy and responded by triggered by a storm of shootings that Hrgovic somehow could do. The punches he ate in this sequence were fierce.
“Of course, he is a young and future superstar and I am the hardest mother **** in the division,” Hrgovic said when he asked if he would like to fight against Moses Itauma. “This would be a great test to see if it is the real treatment. It’s a new Mike Tyson, or I’m a new George’s Capatàs? I would like to fight against him but it depends on Frank (Warren). How much will he pay?”
Hrgovic would have been a much better step tonight for Moses Ituma than Dillian Whyte. If Queensberry wants ituma to be tested, they would be better to match with Hrgovic than by launching it with the indisputable heavy weight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, in his next struggle.
