At least one person was killed and several others were injured after the train collided with a tanker for suspension and thwarted in southern Denmark, officials said.

Police said the catastrophe occurred between the cities of Tinglev and Kliplay in southern Uutland, and that the officers were on the spot.

Local TV2 outlets reported that helicopters were sent to the stage and quoted by local railway officials stating the train “hit a tanker for hanging” at the intersection level.

The DSB rail operator said he had closed the services between Tinglev and Sønderborg near the German border.

Photos from the stage showed that there was a trolley near the cars and passengers were standing near the railway tracks.

Police said 95 passengers are aboard, including students from the school in Sondrborg. The two wounded were fascinated by the helicopter.

The Banydanmark National Railway Agency wrote on X that the collision took place at the railway crossing. According to local media, at least two train cars were thwarted.
