Barstool sports personality Frank Flemingotherwise known as Frank the Tank, in hospital after a problem with his foot led to a lot of blood loss.
“I triggered a leak,” said Frank, 49, in a video shared through X on Thursday, August 14. “Just started shooting blood. My shoe was soaked in blood, I didn’t even feel any pain.”
Frank explained that he was looking down at his foot that was “red as f *** ing all hell” and was “blood tracing” while walking.
“I looked and got a pin, I Little Pin Hole just squirting blood,” he continued. “I guess I have baricos veins. I had to be on traps. I can’t put pressure on my foot the next few days.”
Internet personality told fans he was going to “try” to attend the New York Mets baseball game over the weekend. (Frank covers the Mets for Barstool.)

In a separate X mail on Friday, August 15, Frank shared a picture of the baricos veins in his foot. (According to Mayo ClinicThey are swollen, swollen veins that often affect the legs.) Followers could see the small hole he was referring to in the previous video.
Frank’s injury came in the middle of his continuous walking streak, which is chronicled on social media. Barstool’s personality has made its goal to walk 20,000 steps a day as part of its weight loss journey.
“I need to be on traps the next few days, I can’t put pressure on my right instep any tips on how to keep my streak alive,” he wrote through X on Thursday. “
Previously, Frank weighed over 500 lbs and has been sharing his ongoing health journey with Barstool fans. In January 2024Frank revealed that he weighed less than 350 lbs for the first time in two decades.
“I’ve been making some good progress, I think,” he said in a video shared through X at the time. He further explained his weight battles, dividing that he had hit 500 lbs in 2015 or 2016. He lost weight when going to hospital with an MRSA infection at about the same time, but the pandemic Covid-19 in 2020 in 2020 did the derail of any progress he made.
“That’s a very good number – a very good number,” he split in the same video, when coming in at 343.2 lbs.
After revealing the issue with his foot on Thursday, Frank promised fans that he would try to keep the walking streak alive.
“I’m going to do my best to keep this streak going,” he said. “I may not get my 20,000 steps over the next few days, but I’m going to do my best to walk with these crutches.”
