Jeff Bezos’ Mother, Jackie BezosDied following a battle with Lewy’s body dementia. She was 78.
The founder of the Amazon, 61, confirmed the news through Instagram Tribute Post Divided on Thursday, August 14.
“His adulthood started a little early when he became my mother at the age of 17. That couldn’t have been easy, but he did it all,” he wrote. “She picked up in the work of loving me with ferocity, bringing my amazing dad to the team a few years later, and then adding my sister and brother to her list of people to love, protect and foster. For the rest of her life, that list of people did not ever love to stop growing. She always gave so much more than she ever asked for.”
She continued, “After a long fight with the dementia of Lewy’s body, she died today, surrounded by so many of us who loved her – her children, grandparents, and my father. I know she felt our love in those last seconds. We were all so lucky to be in her life. I hold her safely in my heart forever.”
It was a wedding weekend to remember. The Bezos Family Foundation, initiated by Jackie and Jeff, shared news of her death as well by statement.

In his statement, the foundation described Jackie’s final years as “a quiet last chapter for a life that we all learned, friends and family alike, the true meaning of gravel and determination, kindness and service to others.”
In the meantime, loved ones, friends and followers took to the comments section of Jeff’s Instagram mail to send their condolences.
Jeff’s wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos55, he said, “We will miss him so much. Love you ❤️💔”
Lauren Sánchez ensured that her marriage to Jeff Bezos included her three children. Vogue reported on Friday, June 27, that Sánchez, 55, had walked down the side by her sons, Nikko, 24, and Evan, 19, while her daughter, Ella, 17, served as her honorable maid. Miranda Kerr, 42, also sent her good wishes, commenting, “thinking of you and your family 🙏”
Jackie has been survived by her husband Mike Bezosher three children,, Jeff, Christina and Mark Bezos as well as his 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
