Sullivan crossing might seem familiar to Netflix viewers because of his unexpected connection with River virgin.

The author acknowledged the links that existed between his shows – specifically River virgin and Sullivan crossing.
“Of course, in every town there must be houses, businesses, at least one church, medical and emergency facilities, and an assembly point – usually eating, a coffee house, or a bar and a grill,” he added. “There are always remote farms and ranks.”
Carr continued: “But there are two things that bring a town to life. One is a beauty. Rough beauty. The towns I write about them must not be cute – they must be majestic, rustic and remote beauty places. And they must not be an easy place to live.”
