Kate Gosselin Embracing life beyond reality television – revealing that she now works long shifts in the medical field to maintain her own and her family years after she rose to fame.
“It was another 12 -hour day, and my patient and I made a bunch of things,” Kate, 50, shared in a new Tiktok clip posted on Monday, August 11, just a month after join the social media platform. “My patient wants to spend time outside, and I did, of course, all the medical care as well, feed, bath and all things.”
“I work again tomorrow morning, so my dishes are loaded into the dishwasher, and I’ll get my dishwasher to run, so I can go to bed and get up early and do it all again,” he explained.
Kate moved to Troutman, North Carolina, from Pennsylvania and renewed her nursing license again earlier this year. Alum TLC often noted for what she wears while on the clock as a pediatric home healthcare nurse in NC, revealing that she chooses a scrub t-shirt and pants with cargo pockets.
In the comments section, one fan asked why she still has to work shifts so long to make ends meet, and Kate answered honestly, “Honestly? Catering for 8 children, college funds I am pleased to say that they have dealt with all their college and more and more lawyers.”
“Sick but I was a drug (sic) constantly to court and that costs tons. Sad BC my children could get a lot more saving and I could get a retirement saved except for lawyers :(. It’s fine. I help other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping,” he continued.

In another of her responses, Kate also poured out “that reality TV does not pay as well as it should when you have to accommodate 8 children on your own.”
