More than 100 organizations have signed a joint letter calling for Israel to stop “gas assistance” because “starvation deepens”.
Humanitarian groups, including Oxfam and Médecins Sans Frontères (MSF), say they are increasingly saying that they are “not authorized” to assist if they do not comply with the tougher rules.
Groups are at risk of ban if they “delegitize” Israel or do not provide detailed information about Palestinian staff.
Israel denies that there are restrictions on help and state that the rules imposed in March make sure that the work on assistance is carried out in accordance with the “national interests” of Israel.
According to a joint letterMost major international non -governmental organizations (NGOs) have not been able to deliver any truck rescue supplies since March 2.
They say that the Israeli authorities “dismissed the requests of dozens of non -governmental organizations to attract rescue goods”, citing new rules. More than 60 requests were denied in July alone.
The inability of the assistance groups in providing assistance “left the hospital without major supplies, children, people with disabilities and the elderly who die from hunger and preventive diseases,” the report said.
Sean Carol, CEO of American Braft East Resints Aid (Anera), said: “Anera has more than $ 7 million ready to enter into gas – including 744 tons of rice, enough for six million meals locked in a few kilometers.”
The new guidelines introduced in March are updating the basis for how aid groups must register for maintaining their status in Israel, as well as provisions that outline how their statements can be denied or canceled.
Registration may be rejected if the Israeli authorities believe that the group denies Israel’s democratic nature or “promotes delegitimal campaigns” against the country.
“Unfortunately, many assistance organizations serve as a cover for hostile and sometimes fierce activity,” said the Israeli Diaspora Minister of the France-Presse news agency.
“Organizations that are not involved in hostile or tough activities, and no boycott movement will be provided to operate,” Chikley added.
Bushr Khalidi, headed by Oxfam Policy, said Israel has rejected more than $ 2.5 million (£ 1.8 million) of goods from entering gas.
She added: “This registration process signifies the inos that their ability to operate can come through their independence and ability to speak.”
The warning comes when Israel activates its bombing of Gaza city, preparing for the plan for Take your control of the city.
Israel states that he will provide humanitarian assistance to the civilian population “outside the fighting zones”, but did not specify whether this assistance will be delivered by Israel and the Gaza Humanitarian Fund.
Israel says the system is needed to stop Hamas’s theft, Hamas denies.
The UN reports this month that 859 Palestinians were killed near GHF sites since May, a GHF figure denied.
In a joint statement by Aitar Zabalgozkoa, MSF Emergency Coordinator said that “a militarized food distribution scheme has a weapon of starvation.”
MSF Secretary-General Chris Lokier said the BBC that GHF is a “death trap”, and the humanitarian situation in the newspaper “hung thread”.
Hamas attack in 2023 killed about 1,200 people in Israel, and 251 were confiscated and taken into gas as hostages.
Almost 62,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel’s attack, the Ministry of Health Hamas reports. It states that 235 people, including 106 children, also died of hunger and malnutrition.
